THE ORIGINS OF PILATES:
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century as a way to overcome his own physical challenges. Originally called Contrology, his method focused on intentional, precise movement to build strength, flexibility, and mind-body connection.
Over time, this innovative approach to movement was renamed Pilates and is now practiced around the world as an effective method for full-body conditioning and mental focus.

Reformer Pilates
Reformer Pilates is part of the Pilates system which uses a spring-loaded apparatus that provides adjustable resistance to suit all fitness levels and body types. The springs can be set to offer more challenge or additional support, helping you move with greater control and confidence.

Studio Pilates works the full-body systematically on various Pilates apparatuses, including the reformer, ladder barrel, cadillac/trapeze table, Pilates chairs and mat work.

Mat Pilates focuses on core strength, flexibility, and mindful movement using your own bodyweight. Props are available to provide support or increase intensity as needed.
